Today is the day. She is nervous and anxious but excited and hopeful at the same time. As she walks down the long corridor toward the office door she can feel her heartbeat getting faster. She takes a deep breath and looks down to check her outfit one last time. Then her heart drops and her confidence fades. She questions how professional she looks and she knows it could impact her chance of getting the job and her future. Today is her interview for a job that could change her life.
The Working Women’s Clothes Closet provides the finishing touch and changes the future for hundreds of women enrolled in WRC’s comprehensive employment program by providing them with professional clothing. This service helps ensure that employers will have a good first impression, allowing them to focus on our clients’ skills and abilities. Each year, nearly 400 women visit WRC’s Clothes Closet and leave their appointment dressed in confidence, hope and fresh interview-appropriate attire.
