Working Women’s Clothing Closet

The Working Women's Clothes Closet (WWCC) offers women the clothing and accessories they need  in order to project a professional image and effectively compete in today's job market. Over 300 women a year take advantage of this service.

With its boutique atmosphere and personal service, the WWCC provides a comfortable environment where women can develop their professional appearance and attitude. Trained volunteers serve as personal shoppers assisting women in choosing outfits that are the most flattering and appropriate for her situation.

Donation Guidelines

Due to limited space, we are unable to accept estate clothing.

We can only accept very gently used business clothing that is current in style (less than 4 years old) and in season. We do not have the capacity to store out of season clothing.

Clothing must be clean and in excellent condition.

Here is a list of items we accept:

2 pc. Suits  Dress pants  Skirts
Blazers Blouses Lightweight  cardigans/sweater sets
Coats Shoes Jewelry
Scarves Belts Purses, totes, portfolios

We also accept brand new hosiery and bras.

Ask yourself, "Would I wear this to a job interview?" if the answer is "No", we recommend you donate those articles to other worthy organizations, i.e. Goodwill, UCOM, In the Image, etc.

If we receive like new clothing that is not appropriate for the workplace, we send those items to a women owned consignment shop to sell. The proceeds we receive are used to purchase brand new bras for our participants and to cover the other costs associated with the operation of the closet.
